When I chose my item I kind of grabbed what was on my desk or near it. It turned out to be interesting though because my items were all things I cared about. The Pocket knife a helpful tool, the lighter a gift from my brother, and the boots are an old pair I've worn for years. I tried my best to make the photos somewhat interesting, but really they just seem super edgy. I followed the list of photo variations and picked a couple different black and white filters. I didn't really have any interesting backgrounds, they're all very plain. My favorite one is probably of my old shoes, number two the side shadow, I just like how the age and discoloration of the boots look in black and white. Probably the Asymmetrical one with the cup, I didn't really have any interesting ideas for that and just kind snapped it. This will make me pay attention to lighting and filters/editing more.
